Palo Alto, Calif. October 18, 2006 – AppStream, Inc., a leader in on-demand application deployment and management, today announced that the company has accelerated the schedule for it’s EMEA channel expansion strategy.
As customer adoption of virtualization and streaming technologies outpaces market expectations, the company plans to better support demand for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) organizations by teaming with additional local channel partners and increasing support staff in Europe.
As part of the expansion strategy, Nic Burkinshaw will assume the role of managing EMEA sales operations. Burkinshaw’s responsibilities include managing AppStream’s sales team and operations in Europe to expand the EMEA reseller channel and significantly increase European sales.
Based out of Manchester in the United Kingdom, Burkinshaw will be immediately identifying additional integrators and signing new channel relationships for AppStream. Burkinshaw will also be attending ManageFusion, a leading systems management conference sponsored by Altiris, to be held from October 24 to 26 in Vienna, Austria. Altiris recently announced that AppStream had joined its Developer Program to add support for streaming Altiris’ Software Virtualization Solution (SVS). Brad Rowland, vice-president of marketing for AppStream and Brian Duckering, director of product management for AppStream, will join Burkinshaw at ManageFusion, where they will introduce the joint solution from AppStream and Altiris to the European market.

Burkinshaw has almost three decades of experience in sales, business development and customer support in the technology industry, working with customers throughout Europe. Prior to AppStream, Burkinshaw held the positions of software consultant and senior engineer, and also served as manager of European business development for Rapport Technologies as well as European technical manager for Netier Technologies.
